Airport Party!

Wow. This past month has been a complete blur. From packing up my life in Holland and desperately shoving it into two suitcases with a 30kg limit to sitting in my friends flat in Brisbane attempting to not get addicted to Dragon Age: Inquisition the past 30 days have flown by. 

So here's a little update on what's been happening since I returned to the Homeland almost a fortnight ago: 

Surprised my niece by showing up at her 5th birthday party, played board games with my parents, eaten the burger I was literally dreaming about all year, got food poisoning from said burger, bounced on a trampoline with four of my nephews, discovered my 15 year old niece has a boyfriend, realised I'm now 24, given myself a blister from my thongs (flip flops, jandals, etc,) stayed up until 5am several nights in a row, finished a book, played board games with my friends, burnt my coffe twice, run out of underwear twice, played Dragon Age Inquisition for an undisclosed number of hours, and somehow found the time to practice the guitar. 

Currently I'm housesitting for one of my friends while she's in Japan and beyond that ??? the future is a mystery that will have to solve itself, all I can do is turn in clues. (Oh yeah, I just binge watched Brooklynn 99 while sending out resumes.) I'm looking for a job, a house, and a plan. But for right now, I'm just enjoying being home, being able to call my mum this mothers day and talk for over an hour about not much, being able to go see my high school friends this weekend and squeeze in another visit with my family since it's not far. Just, being close to the people I love. I guess it's true what they say: absence makes the heart grow fonder.
