Galaxy Girls Part 1

So as I may have mentioned half a million times already, I've been getting back into watercolour painting lately. The latest series of paintings I've completed has been a set of galaxy haired girls floating or sitting casually. It was so nice to attempt to make galaxies out of water and paint and a touch of gouache, and the pictures were a real hit amongst my friends, however scans of the paintings left them subpar so I decided to recreate the series digitally and so, here we are!

I wanted to practice drawing dynamic poses but am ashamed to say I reverted to default posing for most of the images. Also there's a lot of crop top action happening which was unintentional. I guess I'll be able to look back on these images in a few years and say
"Oh, I remember when crop tops were in fashion!"
So I guess these pictures are really just a time capsule. Wowee.

If you have any outfit suggestions for future Galaxy Girls let me know!

xx,
Lily

P.S. Yes! The symbols in the background of these pictures are indeed the same as the ones I used in the Symbology pattern I posted on Friday. Well, at least most of them are anyway.
