Witch World

In my latest IKEA sketchbook I started doodling pictures of this one witch character based off this old random halloween character generator I saw on tumblr. I pulled a Rad Witch and then couldn't get the idea of a witch riding a skateboard out of my head. 

Birch

So here's Birch, sort of like Kiki, in that she's a messenger witch but in much more of a modern, cool kid, summertime way. If that even make's sense. And once I drew Birch I couldn't stop and all of a sudden I'd drawn several members of her unconventional coven. 

Annalise

Annalise is a barista at the coven's go to coffee joint, Cool Beans and is also the resident potions expert. 

Selena

 Selena works as a tattoo artist and dance instructor and handles the coven's symbology. I'm still working out the design for her tattoo's but she's meant to have plenty. 

Sun Li

 Sun Li is a botonist and the groups herbology go to guide. She also get's photographed a lot for street style blogs. 

Theodore

 Theodore (Teddy) works at the local 2nd hand bookstore and reads every spare moment he's got. He's devoured every book related to magic he can find and is therefore the coven's resident Historia expert.

I hope to use these characters in a short story or comic of some kind, but I've still got miles to go in terms of development. I have a few other members of the coven planned out too and will hopefully draw them more in the future. Plus I've sketched a couple of practice scenes at Cool Beans and mapped out a couple of scenes in it. Wowee.

Anyway, if I work on it all more I'm 100% likely to dump all the sketches here so I'm sure you'll be seeing these faces again.
